Kids Go Crazy of Kidzu in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Chapel Hill, North Carolina is a beautiful little town that has a lot to offer its residents as well as those who chose to vacation in the area. Even the children will find some great things to do in Chapel Hill.

The Kidzu Children’s Museum was founded in 2006 with the help of more than 100 local volunteers. This interactive museum is a great place for kids and families alike to come together, learn, and have a great time. Guests will find quite a few exhibits and special programs that are perfect for children up to eight years old.

The following are some of the things that kids will see and enjoy when visiting Kidzu.

Kidzoom: The Power of Creativity

Here, the kids can learn to unleash their creativity and imagination. They can visit the Green Thumb area and learn about nature, as well as how things grow and travel from the farmer’s field to the supermarket and finally their dinner plate. They can learn how to plant and grow vegetables and even pretend to cook up some gourmet dishes at the Millhouse Kitchen!

The Build a Dream: Construction Area is also quite popular, and kids can learn all about creating buildings and designing communities. Many different aspects of community development are explored here.

At the Kinoodle Moodle Art Studio the little ones can create some artistic masterpieces that they can take home or have displayed at Kidzu for others to see. They will get the opportunity to learn about all kinds of art here.

In addition, you and the kids will be able to find a Book Nook, where you can read together, and the Tot Spot, which is a place perfect for the infants and toddlers.

Kidzu has so many fun things to do that you and the children will likely want to return for more than one visit.

Don’t forget to stop by the wonderful gift shop called Laughing Turtle Kids. At the gift shop, you and the kids will be able to find some great books and toys that are fun and promote learning.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM, and on Sunday from 1PM to 5PM. Admission is $4 for adults and children who are over two years of age; those under two are free.
